In the AFL the North Melbourne vs Brisbane game should be finishing as we start\, it’s on Melbourne anyway. Essendon vs Melbourne should be half way through\, but again\, this game is in Melbourne so there shouldn’t be too many at the pub for it. Swans vs Suns will also start towards the end of our game. There is an Essendon v Hawthorn game starting at 7:40pm but that shouldn’t be a problem. The bigger concern is the commentators constantly talking about the 8pm game instead of\, you know\, commentating\, but that’s out of our hands. \nGames before/after: Roosters v Rabbits is right after us at 8pm. SUMMARY:Round 1 meetup - Manly vs Raiders
DESCRIPTION:Intro: It’s the first game of the year and the Raiders and playing Manly at 4 Pines Park (Brookvale). It’s going to be weird playing against Fogarty but that’s Rugby League. \nMeet Up: RMC will be meeting at The Great Northern Hotel as usual. We will probably fill up the front bar so if it’s booked out go for the bistro/dining room. It has multiple screens and if you list that you’re watching the Raiders when you book the pub will seat you near one showing the game. We usually get a big crowd for round one and after the season we had last year we’re expecting an even bigger crowd this year. \nClashes: There is an AFL game (Brisbane vs Bulldogs) on at the same time so some other screens will be showing that game. TGN always look after us though. \nGames before/after: There is one other game on Saturday. Sharks play the Titans at 5:30pm (immediately before our game). \nOther: Nothing at this stage. \n
